Did you ever wonder whether iiRDS as a metadata model is suitable for your company’s documentation? It was made for the machinery industry and maybe software documentation, right? We will show you that this is not the case. We demonstrate how to use iiRDS for the documentation of technical standards from the automotive industry and how to enable smart content delivery for these documents. The prototype has been developed for ASAM e.V.

You will learn how to analyze user requirements for content delivery and how to derive metadata from them. We will show the process and tools for delivering iiRDS content to a CDP and demonstrate how to extend iiRDS to cover our use cases.

Biografie

Patrick Schedlbauer is a Technical Communicator at parson AG in Hamburg. During his studies in "International Technical Communication" he focused on language technologies and technical documentation. In his master thesis, which he wrote in collaboration with parson AG and their client ASAM e.V., he examined content delivery scenarios for technical standards and developer documentation using iiRDS. After his thesis, Patrick started working at parson AG in April 2021 where he deepens his knowledge about content delivery and developer documentation.

Ulrike Parson is the founder and CEO of parson AG, a service provider for technical communication headquartered in Hamburg with over 25 years experience in technical communication. She works primarily as a consultant in her specialist areas of intelligent information, content strategy and the digitalization of content processes. Ulrike is a member of the iiRDS Steering Committee.
