Reinhard Rapp received a PhD in Information Science from the University of Konstanz. He holds faculty positions at the University of Mainz and at Magdeburg Stendal University of Applied Sciences and is currently on leave for conducting a research project on semantics-based machine translation at the Athena Research and Innovation Center in Athens, Greece. His main research interests are in computational linguistics and psycholinguistics, with a current focus on machine learning and neural machine translation.
