Yes, you can edit your contribution in 'my conference tool' until May 22. From May 23 to July 15, all contributions will be evaluated by the conference advisory board. No changes are possible during the selection phase.

Here is how to edit your contribution:

  • Log in to 'my conference tool'.

We do not recommend this, as each submission should be tailored to a conference topic if possible.

Four tips for submission:

  • When writing your announcement text, follow the structure guidelines.
  • Match your announcement text as closely as possible to the description text of the selected conference topic.
  • Refrain from promotional content. Presentations with a scientific focus and those that concentrate on imparting knowledge are in demand.
  • Make your presentation as practice-oriented as possible. Propose and implement an interesting, compelling solution. We are particularly interested in case studies, best practices, and innovative solutions that demonstrate real-world examples of effective technical communication.
  • Log in to 'my conference tool' or create a new user account if you do not have one yet.
  • Click on "Submit contribution here".
  • Create a new contribution and select "tcworld conference 2024".
  • Fill in the forms completely.
  • Submit the complete contribution using the slider. The slider will turn green for the submitted contribution.
  • You will receive a confirmation of your submission by email.

After the submissions have been received, the board members individually evaluate them, considering various criteria to make informed decisions. These criteria include the subject matter of the presentation, expected quality of the contribution, non-promotional nature, previous evaluations of the speaker by conference attendees, and overall impression. Each board member incorporates their subjective impressions during the evaluation process.

Subsequently, plenary sessions and discussions are held to make the final selections. During these sessions, all board members convene to discuss the evaluated contributions. The discussions allow for the inclusion of different perspectives and consideration of diverse viewpoints, ensuring a broad thematic diversity in the program.

Following the discussions and evaluations, a ranking of the contributions is created. Contributions with the highest scores are included in the selection for the conference program. The aim is to achieve a balanced thematic composition and ensure high-quality contributions. Submissions that have been presented at previous events may receive lower priority to make room for new content.
